SUSPA Incorporated Achieves ISO/TS 16949

SUSPA Incorporated has become registered to the new International Automotive Quality Standard ISO/TS 16949. SUSPA is now among a hand full of companies in North America (less than fifty) that have become qualified at the ISO/TS 16949 level. The new standard has only been in existence for a little over a year and is considered an upgrade from the current automotive standard QS 9000.

SUSPA has always been known in the industry for their high quality standards. A little over two and a half years ago the management team at SUSPA established the direction that has led to the quality level that we see today. Initially SUSPA completely redefined their quality system, and after about 8 months qualified for registration to ISO 9001. During the last year and a half the redefined quality system continued to mature to the point that the management team felt the company was ready to bypass QS 9000 and register to the ISO/TS 16949 standard. The quality system at SUSPA supports four distinctly different business groups, Automotive & Suspension, Chair Components, Diversified, and Lift Systems. All of these business groups are now on the leading edge of quality in their marketplaces.

The new standard identifies SUSPA Incorporated as a quality leader and matches nicely with their German parent. The SUSPA plant in Altdorf Germany (just outside Nuremberg) was certified in ISO/TS 16949 during 2000 and was one of the first companies in Europe to be recognized at this level. The synergy between SUSPA Incorporated and SUSPA Holding results in a company that is highly diverse, capable of competing at any level. SUSPA a partner and leader for the future!
